New York Muscle Club: Andrulla Blanchette and Others

The New York was started back in February of 2002 by Eric Lemke and Mike Eckstut. The main goal of the NYMC is to promote and bring out the awesome power of female fitness and bodybuilding physiques to the fans of the sport. Many of the events were held in downtown Manhattan at Raw Space Theaters. Unfortunately, Raw Space Theaters no longer exists, which means the NY Muscle Club travels outside Manhattan for events now. The athletes are allowed to display their physiques without any limitations or posing requirements. The NYMC concept is quite refreshing and unique, it is a definite change of pace and should continue to be a success. 

Andrulla Blanchette is the featured IFBB athlete for the show, while other rising stars include Jennifer Broomfield, Elena Seiple, and Mara Brescia. Mara Brescia serves a dual purpose in this video, as she MC's the event and performs for the crowd. Jennifer Broomfield was truly the crowd favourite, as she was only eighteen years of age, well developed and stunningly beautiful. Elena Seiple was the tallest and most muscular looking female out of the foursome. She displayed an impressive off-season looking body. 

Andrulla Blanchette gave the crowd a beautiful demonstration of her physique by performing a "Last of the Mohicans" style native American dance. The costume was absolutely superb, and the choreography was smooth and calmative. The question and answer period with the audience made her appearance more personal for the audience. Andrulla also describes the road she took from Judo to bodybuilding as a young teenager.  

Jennifer Broomfield was the "shock factor" performer at the New York Muscle Club that evening. She was a little timid on stage, but was still very confident in herself and her physique display. Jennifer's young girl looks, blonde hair, and stellar physical maturity gave her newcomer allure.

• Good editing, however, productions values need to improve.

Cons about the video

• Poor exposure throughout most of the video (too hot, overexposure etc.)
• Camera operators used too much zoom control, which results in poor framing.
• A lot of nice shots were missed by the two camera operators
• No line-in connections from the audio mixer

Final Thoughts
For only being in operation since February of 2002, the NY Muscle Club has quickly become a successful promotion outlet for female fitness and bodybuilding. From IFBB bodybuilders to young up and coming amateurs, the venue in Manhattan is truly entertaining. Andrulla Blanchette and Jennifer Bloomfield were the stars of the video in my opinion. They stood out as the crowd favourites, with their confidence and sex appeal. Although, I must say that Mara and Elena are both uniquely appealing on stage.
