Today, we are taking a look at the 2002 NPC National Women's
Bodybuilding Pump Room video. As you might have guessed, this features
the best amateur women from across the United States, who are vying
for a coveted IFBB Pro card. Some of the competing competitors include

Butler, Linda Cancel, Sarah

The Pump Room at the NPC Nationals is fully setup with free weights
and machines for athletes. Most of the women pump up their upper
bodies and biceps throughout the majority of the video. Some of the
women, are absolutely huge and vascular! In fact, I find many of the
women to be over developed symmetrically in the upper body, as
compared to the rest of the bodies. Oh well, I'm sure most of the
viewers will like some of the close-ups of the biceps and chest.
Heater
Darling was huge, and she weighed over 175lbs at the contest
according to Repetrope. Heater's conditioning was not the best as
compared to other competitors. As you'll see, she has a very mature,
rounded upper body. She would be even more competitive if she were
ultra ripped and dry. A beautiful competitor than caught my eye was Gina
Davis, her blonde hair and smile really came across on
video.
Bonny
Priest made an appearance at nationals, she looked full, and hard
without a doubt for the contest. With the full contingent of
bodybuilding women, not all of them made it on tape. In any event,
those competitors that were pumping and posing, were captured by the
Repetrope crew.
Pros about the video
- The biggest, and hardest amateur women's physiques in the U.S
- A lot of biceps pumping, and flexing
- A wide variety of competitors, makes things interesting.
Cons about the video
- Very long.. 2 hours of pumping!
- A few camera shots overexposing on tape
- Very bright lighting backstage affected some physique shots.
Final Thoughts
Without a doubt, Repetrope produces a very professional product. The
Nationals is a huge event to cover, and they had more than enough
cameras to cover all of the action. The productions values are good,
with tight video framing to capture the bulging biceps of many
competitors. In the future, some camera operators may need to tonal
(white) balance under the hot lighting conditions to give the viewer
better exposed results on tape.
